116th Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival

Friday Night, Saturday and Sunday

September 27-29, 2013.

The Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival is Sonoma Valley’s annual tradition of celebrating the harvest of wine grapes and the yearly crush. Since 1897 the Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival has been celebrating the Sonoma Valley’s bounty, community, and local culture. California’s oldest festival, this Sonoma tradition takes place the last full weekend of September in downtown Sonoma’s historic Plaza. The Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival benefits many Sonoma Valley community projects and non-profits. This three day event is organized and presented by a group of local volunteers, including an all volunteer Board of Directors.

This year we are excited to kick things off with our Friday night gala event. Taste great wine, sample delicious food and dance under the stars to live music. It’s summer in Sonoma and the fun keeps going through the entire weekend. Bring the family down to Sonoma Plaza on Saturday and Sunday for more great fun including our famous grape stomp, world class art show and many other activities including live music, games for kids and you guessed it … wine tasting and delicious food! Don’t miss our second annual “Get Your Glow On” night parade on Saturday night.

Sunday promises to be a truly exciting day in Sonoma Plaza. Come down and be part of the inaugural Sonoma Vintage 12K race which will start and finish in the historic Sonoma Plaza. We will also hold the Vintage 2 mile run/walk on Sunday. Either way you are sure to have fun as the course takes you along scenic roads through local vineyards.
